Remove the clear liners on each side of the dressing and place directly over the wound. Silflex may overlap the wound edges. Cover with a secondary dressing of choice, we advise to use the Advazorb Lite range for low exuding wounds and Advazorb or Eclypse range for medium to high exuding wounds. The Silflex dressing can be cut to size ensuring sharp, sterile scissors are used. In the presence or suspicion of infection, Activon Tube may be used to assist in treatment.

Frequency of change

The dressing may be left in place for up to 14 days depending on the wound condition which will be assessed by the Healthcare Professional.

• Skin abrasions
• Surgical wounds
• Second degree burns
• Lacerations
• Leg and pressure ulcers

May be used under Negative Pressure Wound Therapy

Contra-indications
Do not use if allergic to silicone.
The wound bed can become too moist as a result of poor secondary dressing choice, which may lead to hypergranulation. Manufacturer’s recommendation of secondary dressings should be followed.
When using under NPWT, the dressing should be changed between 24-72 hours according to the treating healthcare professional’s assessment.
